Layout Grid

The editor screen contains five gray tile symbols, one in the middle of the screen, plus one at each corner of the layout area.  These markers are simply visual aids to show the exact center and extent of the area in which tiles can be placed.

When placing tiles, the editor snaps the position to an invisible grid, to help properly position tiles.  The grid size can be set to one of these three sizes using the Options|Grid popup menu:

Large - 2 grid lines per tile in both directions (width and height)

Small - 3 grid lines per tile width, 4 grid lines per tile height

Tiny - 9 grid lines per tile width, 12 grid lines per tile height

The status bar shows the position of a tile that is about to be placed.  The 'X' position is units from the left edge, 'Y' is units from the top edge, and 'Z' is the number of tile units high.
